"I like my school. The other teachers are very friendly and caring. The students are excellent and they seem to enjoy having us there. They are very respectful and nice. I think this program is great for kids. They get to practice English whenever they want with Native English Speakers. Many students take advantage of this, while others don’t care. It's really good for those moving on to university, especially those going to an international school. I enjoy teaching here very much."

"As for my opinion of the school and MediaKids.

1. I could not have asked for a better school - I love it! The teachers are very hospitable and welcoming, the children are enthusiastic and hard working and overall it is a very positive, supportive environment. The school could not have been better, nor could have the people in it be better people.

2. I really enjoy teaching in this project. Everyone I have been in contact with has always acted very professionally and was pleasant to be around. I look forward each time to meeting with everyone. I commend everyone very much for their hard work. I will look forward to teaching with MediaKids next semester and no matter which school you sign with, I'm sure the people will be just as good as the last.

"I have been in Thailand for 4 months now working for MediaKids. It is my first time teaching abroad and I'm very glad that it is with this MediaKids. I'm having a fantastic time in Thailand, and I know that it is partly due to MediaKids being so helpful.Communication with MediaKids is very easy, as they respond to emails and telephone calls as soon as they can, as well as visit the school I work at approx. once every 4-6 weeks. The staff of MediaKids (especially Eric) do an amazing job and work very hard to help teachers adjust to living and teaching in Thailand. As with any job, there are a few glitches and days that absolutely suck, but it is more than worth it to wait it out and enjoy all that Thailand has to offer."

A Vice Director,Lopburi Province

"This project gives a chance for our students to learn with Native English Speakers, but it depends on the knowledge of each class. As for MediaKids, they have taken good care of their teachers and have maintained good coordination with our school. The Native English Speakers (teachers) are all friendly, helpful, and participate well with our school and students. This project at our school is going well."

Ms. Roxy Hannah& Mr.Martial Lemoine from Canada

"The school loves us. The project is ok. Too many students in the classes for them all to appreciate English. The school should only have foreign teachers for the good students that are willing to take advance of Native Language English Speakers."

Mr. Noel Appleton

Not knowing how to speak Thai caused a few miscommunications and it can be frustrating when trying to explain an activity to forty twelve year olds using primarily body language and patience. Some of the students have an impressive grasp of the language and some can't write their own name. The gap is fairly wide between the top speakers and the bottom,so planning lessons can be a bit of a crap-shoot. This being my first semester in a Thai school, learning their systems on the fly and finding my own teaching style in a foreign country could have been very stressful, very difficult. No question, there were moments when it has been. Had it not been for MediaKids and their staff, it would have been nearly impossible for me. From the opening seminar upon arrival to Thailand it was obvious that working for them was going to make my transition much, much easier. They explained various cultural differences and customs, what to expect from Thai teachers and school management, what to expect when stepping into a Thai classroom and what to avoid when teaching in one. MediaKids had teachers on their roster join those of us who were new to give testimonials about their experiences. We met with Thai teachers who briefly let us know what they expect, what they wish we could do better and why they are so happy to have foreign teachers in their schools. When I left Bangkok and set out to meet my new town, I was not going there blind. MediaKids gave me the sort of insider knowledge that prepared me to fit in at the school and the people of Chainat. From organizing my work permit to a booklet on various foods and how to order them they have been utterly supportive and eager to please, and I am extremely grateful for them. At the end of the day I can't imagine a more appreciative and cordial country to teach in and I can't believe there are agencies as supportive as MediaKids. I'll always be glad I responded to that email and although it was scary to leave Canada behind, it was easily one of the best decisions of my life. Chok dee, cheers and keep your stick on the ice!"

Teaching in Thailand has been an incredibly rewarding and enjoyable experience. This country has been nothing short of stunning- beauty wise and its people are penultimate hosts. To come from a western country inwhich human interaction seemsto have goIt is difficult for me to put into words how warmly I have been welcomed by the Thai's around town and the English Department at my school. ne by the wayside to a country so curious and friendly has beeninvigorating and much needed. Not to say it has been all chocolate streams and gumdrop smiles, however.
