    On the Mother's Day, I went to my grandmother's house to show my respect to my grandmums, my mum and my aunt. I showed my espect to them by giving them a jasmine garland doing a krab to their feet. Every child and adult in Thailand will do like this to their mother or women they respect.

Questions and Expressions

    Beginning with this chapter the two words for "I", phom and chan, will alternate in examples. Remember that chan is for women and phom is for men
    "What's your name?" is literally "you-name-what". "You", koon (usually spelled "khun"), is also put before people's fist names in polite or formal situations. "What" is a-rai, but the "r" may be pronounced as "I".

Ngan Mueang U - Khao, U- Nam. (City of Rice and Water Bowl Fair) and Annual Red Cross Fair is the annual fair of the Ang Thong people held after harvesting period in late December and beginning of January every year. read more

    Ang Thong is a small province on the bank of the Chao Phraya River. The former settlement is at Wiset Chai Chan on the bank of the Noi River. It was an essential frontier outpost of Ayutthaya when fighting with the Burmese. read more

Tourism

    This ancient temple is located 9 kilometres along the Ang Thong-Pho Thong route and 2 kilometres along an access road. There is a large reclining Buddha image, 50 metres long, lying in the open area . The vihara housing the image was destroyed during the first fall of Ayutthaya. The statue of Khun Inthapramun was in front of the Buddha image. According to a legend, Khun Inthapramun is a revenue officer who secretly took away official money to enlarge the original 40 metre construction of the image and was subsequently whipped to death. read more
